Kitchener Minor Hockey will be placing information on this page regarding Sports Concussions, and what we are doing to help educate our players, parents, coaches, and trainers.
The first step in any injury is to think prevention. To that end Hockey Canada has introduced new rules around Head Contact to help reduce the incidence of head injury.

In May 2011 KMHA received a grant from the Province of Ontario's Healthy Communities Fund to help provide educational seminars for our Players, Parents, Coaches, and Trainers. These seminars are now being scheduled and will be placed throughout the year to allow for all of our members to have access. Topics will include Concussion and Concussion recovery, Healthy eating for recovery and what to do at home to help recover from sports injuries.
