Select - Novice - Kitchener Rangers Unbeaten in the Regular Season

After a slippery drive into Hamilton, the Kitchener Rangers were able to beat the Hamilton Blues with a final score of 7-3. The boys played great positional hockey today. Antonio opened the scoring. Connor got a hat trick. Ody, Ethan, Tristan, Nathan, Matthew, and Samson played stellar defense. Arthur chipped in 4 points and Mark played a solid game both ways to win the hard hat. Quinten returned to tonights game with great speed and determination. Cameron, Aiden, Jonas and Robert played their hearts out to help the team win. Logan and Carson played a great game in net. Way to go Rangers.

Select - Novice - 5th Win for the Jr. Rangers

Saturday night hockey in Hamilton against the Parkdale select proved to be a close game. The boys seemed ready to play and they pulled through. The defense played with five guys and stood strong along the blueline. Ody had another solid outing and Nathan played smart with the puck. The boys just couldn't seem to find the back of the net too often but they kept on pushing until they won. Antonio opened the scoring and Cameron followed that up with a goal of his own to put us up 2-0. Parkdale came back and tied the game. Then, with under a minute to go, Arthur scored the game winner and took home the hard hat for the game. Congratulations to Matthew for doing a great job filling in a forward position. Go Rangers Go!!!!

MD - Novice White - Mad Dog Leads Team White to Victory in Burlington

An inspired game by our away Captain led to a 5-2 victory over Burlington White. The win gives Team White a 2-1 record, good for 2nd place early in the round robin playoffs, with a goals for and against advantage over Burlington.

The Blue machine was dropping bombs at will this morning in a dominant win over Yellow! Paced by Carter with 4 goals and 2 assists, the Bomb Squad was firing on all cylinders without our Select players. Ben and Keenan notched the other markers, and Jacob, Hunter, and Aidan G. contributed assists. Nolan and Karl closed the door for the shutout, and strong performances from Tyler and Colin (and all the rest of our D-Men) sealed the deal!

ARENA the Hockey Exhibition Comes to Kitchener

The Exhibit opens to the Public on February 3 and will run till May 6, 2012.

KMHA opens registration for its tredemndous 4 on 4 spring program.

In its inaugural year KMHA boasted over 450 participants in age catagories from 6 years old to 18. This year we plan to grow offering even more teams.

This fun and fast paced program is designed to allow players to play for the love of the game and with their friends, regardless of the level they play at during the regular season.

Pucks for Sale!

Saturday February 4, 2012 Kitchener Minor Hockey will host the 1st ever 24 Hour Hockey for Health benefitting the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre and St. Mary’s Cardiac Centre. The goal is to have every team in Kitchener Minor Hockey participate in the event and help raise money and awareness for these two causes.

In an effort to generate more donations for these very worthy causes, we will be selling paper pucks that will be sold for $2.00 and put up on the walls of the lobby at Activa acknowledging the donor. These pucks will remain on the walls for the duration of the event. We will also draw from those pucks sold for two prizes, a Kitchener Rangers autographed stick and a Tanner Pearson Team Canada autographed jersey. In addition to selling these pucks at Activa during the event, the Minor Pee Wee AA team will be “pre-selling” these pucks at the Ranger Game on January 27th so if you’re planning on attending the game, make sure you bring a Toonie with you! The pucks will also be sold at the Hockey office the week before the event - come get your pucks!

The boys had a great experience this past weekend. They were challenged and they played some really good hockey. It was exciting for everyone involved. We won 1 game and lost 2. We made it to the semi-finals and lost to Woodstock. We fought really hard in each game and gave it our all. We didn't win the tournament but everyone really came together and new friendships were formed. Thank you to all for a memorable weekend.
