Is there an exceptional player on one of your atoMc Hockey? One who exemplifies the atoMc Hockey values of teamwork, leadership, a commitment to fitness, and will be a goodwill ambassador for the atoMc Hockey program? You could help that child have the experience of a lifetime by nominating him or her to win a chance to go to a 2014 FIFA World Cup match. Details on how to nominate the player are below. McDonald’s® Canada is offering four (4) atoMc Hockey players the opportunity to see sport at the highest level on the world stage by inviting "permitted coaches" to nominate them to be a McDonald’s Player Escort and attend a 2014 FIFA World Cup match with their parent/legal guardian.
What is the Prize? Three nights’ accommodation in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, tickets to a 2014 FIFA World Cup match, airfare, airport transfers, ground transportation, meals and more!
Who gets to go? The Judging Panel will select four (4) atoMc Hockey players, one from each of the Western, Mid-West, Ontario and Atlantic regions, and one (1) Équipe McDo hockey player from the Quebec region. The Official Rules describe the selection process in detail. Each player selected and the player’s parent or legal guardian will travel to the 2014 FIFA World Cup courtesy of McDonald’s.
How do you enter? atoMc Hockey"permitted coaches" (see the Official Rules) can submit an essay (maximum 300 words) detailing why they believe a player on a team exemplifies the team values of atoMc Hockey (See criteria below and in the Official Rules).
How will the players be selected? Essays should be submitted attached to an email to [email protected] beginning March 6, 2014. The submission deadline is April 4, 2014. The Potential Winners will be selected in the manner set out in the Official Rules.
What information will we need?
The required information concerning a player, the player’s parent or legal guardian and the "permitted coach" who is nominating the player is described fully in Rule 4 of the Official Rules. In the Essay which accompanies a player nomination, the permitted coach must describe how the nominated player, a) demonstrates teamwork b) demonstrates a commitment to fitness and a balanced active lifestyle, c) demonstrates leadership among his/her fellow players, and d) has the qualities necessary to act as a spokesperson for the McDonald's Player Escort and atoMc Hockey programs.
