Deadline Comes and Goes, Rangers Focused on Playoffs
With the 3 pm trade deadline coming and going on February 28th, the Novice Lady Rangers Organization remains focused on the task at hand. Playoffs.

While most players sweat this time of year, the girls of the Lady Rangers stayed upbeat and committed to the blue, white and red. From the first crack of dawn on Monday the phone at the Novice office was ringing of the hook, but this team was not buying or selling.
"Sixteen girls earned their spot on this team and that is where they will stay" Claims one Office Insider. "This group was built in the fall with the intention of keeping it that way."
How right they are, starting from the back line, Goaltender Eden has time and time again earned her right to start for the Home Town Blue solidifying her legend with an outstanding performance in the Silver Stick Tournament. From there, six defenders who keep net traffic to an absolute minimum. Whether it is Ella's tough board play and constant digging, or Michelle's rough and tumble challenges and puck control. Natalie and Amanda's smart team play and unparalleled communication and even the constant threat of Defensive rushes and speedy back checks from Hannah or Katina. These Blueliners have very few holes and all kinds of weapons.
That moves us up front to nine very talented girls, three lines that constantly contribute on the score sheet. With each one of these Ladies finding the back of the net throughout the season, this creates nightmares for opposing coaching. There is such a fantastic blend of speed, grit, finesse, and determination that permeates from within each and every line and each and every shift.
With all of the raw talent on this team it is no wonder the term "Trade Deadline" never came up. No other General Managers would return our calls as to what players they were looking for, but sources claim that Brian Burke had repeatedly try to deal Phil Kessel to the Rangers for a green milk crate filled with practice pucks. However the Ladies were not willing to part with their unofficial mascot.
Good luck to the Novice Lady Rangers as they begin playoffs.
