Constant Pressure Results in 2-0 Win.
Team White travelled to Appleby Arena last Saturday to play Burlington Red and skated away with a well deserved 2-0 win.
Preston got us started on the first shift with a nice skate from their blue line and a top shelf shot. Although we spent the rest of the game in their end, goals were hard come by as Burlington packed in their players in front of their net. Jared did manage to score our 2nd with a beautiful pass from Pep, who got the puck from Marco. Chase was there when needed to not only stop their shots, but also to smother the puck and allow no rebounds. Congratulations to the whole team whose efforts in our end minimized the Burlington chances. Chase was the well deserved winner of the White Helmet.
Next up for White is a trip to Nelson Arena on Saturday to face Burlington White. Let's hope the flu has made its rounds through our team so we can go there at full strength.
