Playoff game #3 vs St. Catherine's
What an exciting playoff game that was with St. Catherine's

Well this was certainly a game with all kind of excitement, frustration and a bit of disappointment all thrown into 1 game. Heading into this game St. Catherine's was on a bit of a hot streak, they had a successful John MacDonald tournament and winning their first 2 games of the playoffs. Our task wasn't going to be easy but something the coaching staff knew we could accomplish. Coming prepared, focused and ready to play was a prerequisite for this game, the pregame mood in the dressingroom was very quiet, each player quietly sitting in the stall focusing on their responsibilities, their roles and the jobs. We started the game taking some lazy penalties which cost us and put us behind the 8 ball and continued to take unnecessary penalties throughout the game which cost us dearly. St. Catherine's went 3-5 on the powerplay and also had a short handed marker to put the icing on the cake.
The best thing that we took from this game was we never gave up, being down 3-1 with Camden giving us our first goal going into the third we found our scoring touch with goals from Cohen and Matthew to tie things late in the third period. This dedication, belief in themselves and not giving up is what a good team is made of, although we took an undisciplined penalty near the end of the game and a missed icing call by the ref we had a point taken away form us we have a great game over all.
The coaching staff has talked to the players regarding good penalties and bad penalties and today we took 6 undisciplined and lazy penalties. St. Catherine's had 3 powerplay goals and a short handed marker that accounted for all 4 of their goals, I'm sure a different out come if we were a little more disciplined.
Players need to take from this game that Ranger Red can play against teams at the top of our league as long as we stay disciplined, focused and come ready to play. A great effort by all including James and Jackson who have kept us in a position to win.

Keep it up Ranger Red, be ready for Hamiton and Ranger Blue.
