NOVICE ALLIANCE CHAMPIONS
Wow what a great weekend for some great kids.  This past weekend we played some of our best hockey ever.  We peaked at the right time winning the Alliance Championship with a great team effort from everyone who played.  Each player contributed to the victories through scoring or assisting to stopping pucks and back checking.  Connor won player of the tournament for this past weekend with some stellar scoring. Jonas and Robert were fierce whenever they had the puck. That second unit really controlled the play of some of our games.  They were a threat whenever they were out on the ice by creating space and drwaing players to them.  They showed good puck control and good passing.

Antonio was his usual self playing forward and defense skating hard both ways. Mark and Arthur were great linemates for Antonio. Together throughout the season they were consistently one of our deadliest lines. They were fast skaters and they shared the puck really well from the moment they were put onto the same line.  Mark was speedy and allways willing to pass the puck.  Arthur has a really good shot and he skates really fast.   Aidan really stepped up this weekend and played some of his best hockey to date. He was good with and without the puck. He showed a lot of discipline and still played his game.  This line with Quinten and Cameron started to gain momentum and chipped in with some timley goals. Quinten used his speed to backcheck as hard as he could and he would never give up. He has a lot of skill and it showed in the last tournament. He can carry the puck and he has a great shot.   Cameron will always be the little guy but he played big in the last few weeks. He was in the corners digging and when he got a chance to go with the puck his legs moved super fast to get him into the open spaces. Fiesty is what we wanted from him and thats how he played. Our defense was fantastic all weekend. We allowed the fewest goals against in part becuase our defense was awesome. Ethan was a beast not allowing anyone near the net and being tough around the net and allways steady with the puck. Ody made some good plays moving the puck up and playing a steady defensive game all weekend.  He always tries his best everytime he is on the ice.   Nathan was one of our best offensive defensmen all year and that continued with some stellar plays and rushes. Nathan has a nack for joining the rush and pressuring the puck.  He is a good kid and he cares about his teamates and helps them by talking to them on the ice.   Samson was strong on the puck and he also had a really good weekend. He didn't allow the other players to get past him.  He loved being a part of the team and always had a lot of energy and excitment.  Keep on smiling Samson.  Mathew is a quiet force out on the ice. He sees the ice well and is smart with the puck. He had some great moments with and without the puck and has learned a great deal this year.  He was consitent all year and was willing to do what it takes to get his job done.   Tristen had a great weekend playing some of his best hockey. He was steady on D all year round but really peaked in this championship tournament. He was so good in the corners getting the puck up and out consistently. He is a good skater and makes good decisions with the puck.  Logan started every game and played amazing for us. He is a good goalie and a good kid. He is a big reason we did as well as we did this year. He was allways pointing out what we need to do to help him see the puck and support his style of play.  Carson grew and learned so much this year. He kept getting better and better and played so well for us all season. He worked so hard and tried not to let his team down and he never did.  He cares so much about his team and he loved being on the team and hanging with all of his friends.  The dedication of the players, parents and coaches was amazing this year.  At the begining of the year we planned to get better as a team and we did just that. We got better as individuals with our skill and as a team with our passing and overall team effort. This was a magical year for my first year coaching creating memories and friendships that will last forever. Thank you to all who helped make this year a great success and to the coaches for their efforts and time. We were all in this together and we came out CHAMPIONS. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL. I believe we achieved what we set out to do and there is nothing better than that. I am so proud of everyone. A big Thank you to all.
