Leaders in Excellence: Golden Inspirations
Attendees of Kitchener Girls Hockey Day will have the chance to rub elbows with two leaders (and multiple time champions) of Canadian Women’s Sports. Cheryl Pounder, two time Olympic Champion with Hockey Canada, and Mandy Bujold, seven time National Champion and 2012 Olympic Hopeful, will be on hand to offer advice and inspiration.

In the ever evolving world of Women’s Athletics it is essential for our girls and young women of Kitchener Hockey to recognize the women who achieve success alongside them (Mandy), and the women who have helped blaze a trail before them (Cheryl). The desire to succeed and the motivation to be a champion are not lost on the proud Kitchener Girls. With a strong history of winning our local girls (some as young as 5) will all take to the ice in an unprecedented showcase of Kitchener Skill.

On Sunday January 22nd, over 700 female hockey athletes will invade the Kitchener Activa Sportsplex for a day of fun and celebration. Game times start at 7 am and run through 8 pm. Olympian Cheryl Pounder will be on hand from 9:30 am to 11 am for a special meet and greet as well as a special puck dropping ceremony. Many Bujold will also be on hand during the afternoon.

Please join us for what will surely be an inspirational day in support of Kitchener Girls, their supporters, sponsors and mentors.
