Perfect end to a grrrreat season!
A 5-1 win over Waterloo in the Record Cup capped a near perfect season for the Tigers.
The Tigers picked up where they left off after their win in the League Championship and skated to a near perfect ending to a terrific season. Once again showing the teamwork, unselfish play and sportsmanship that were keys to their whole season, the Tigers pulled together one last time to add another victory.
After collecting their hardware, the dressing room was rather quiet as the boys obviously left everything on the ice and sat reflecting upon a significant year together. The realization that the Tigers played their last game together hit home as did the success and special year the boys put together. Every player gave their very best and were rewarded with not just the Record Cup but the satisfaction of knowing they could look each other in the eye and know they played with pride, respect and as a team.
It was a pleasure to watch a group of boys skate, pass and have fun playing hockey all season. Congrats Tigers you gave us a lot to cheer about and many great memories!
