Connor Shuts The Door on St.Catherines
It was a game that saw some good opportunities for both teams in what turned out to be a tight checking game.  We were working on our positioning and the kids were taking instructions that were giving and applying them in the game.  Once we get some consistency in our game we will be even better.  Sometimes our legs were going and some times our legs were not moving and we were just watching the game.  Connor played really well tonight and earned his shutout with his quick reactions.  A puck deflected off a stick and he quickly kicked out his pad to save the the day. Great concentration Connor.

Scott opened the scoring with a nice wrist shot from the blue line that got through the goalies pads.  He was so excited and he did deserve a break.  Nice goal Scott.  He is doing a great job defensivley for us. Thank you and keep it up.  Angelo was paired up with Scott and was consistently good stopping St.Catherines offensive players.  Nathan uses his stick and reach very well knocking pucks away from his openents.  Luke played his first game in three weeks and looked really good.  So nice to have him back. :-) Ben was quietly good out there tonight.  He did what he had to do when he had to do it with a solid effort.  Good job Ben.  Jack F played well despite not feeling that great.  Good effort Jack F. Our forwards didn't seem to get the puck through to the net but we perservered and got some good chances.  Aidan was clutch tonight potting two goals that were celebrated a la Ovechkin style.  Aidan played great as well tonight.  Cole had a couple chances and worked his but off both offensivley and defensivly.  Antonio skated hard and played well and passed the puck to assist on Aidan's goals.  Jack M took instructions from the coach and did exactly what was asked in the neautral zone.  Thanks Jack M.  Quinten brings a fierce competitiveness to his game every time he is on the ice and you know he is going to give everything he can.  Logan had some good moments and some good chances to score.  He created space and worked hard for the puck tonight.  Sam's first game back after a couple weeks off was very good.  He has a great shot and is always a threat to score.  He plays so well along the side of Maddux who skates very smoothly and is always in the play.  Owen skated down the wing and ripped a shot just wide.  Wow he has a shot when he lets it go.  Got to get that shot off a bit earlier but still a good effort tonight.
We still have some work to do but I like a lot of what we are doing. Keep working hard boys. Next game is Sunday against Waterloo.
