Kitchener Junior Rangers Minor Midget MD Blue brings home a Championship!
Our Jr. Rangers played in the Festival of Friendship Tournament in Cambridge November 16th to 18th.
It was apparent from the onset the boys brought their lunchboxes and were ready for a weekend of hard work. We opened up with victories over Brampton Rockets, Orangeville Flyers and Brampton Spitfires! This positioned us as the number 2 seed in the tournament behind the favoured Cambridge Hawks!
In the Semi Finals we beat a very good Sarnia Sting team 2 to 0 and we were off to the finals! Playing Cambridge on their home rink the Rangers would not be denied. With a workman like attitude and awesome teamwork each and every player contributed to our second straight shutout as we won 3 to 0 to claim the Championship. The coaches are so proud of the boys as they played and worked as a single entity for the entire weekend! Keep up the hard work boys you are making us all proud!
