Return On Investment
The 2012-2013 season will mark the return of three Lady Rangers in three brand new roles. Kitchener Lady Rangers Atom B team management has announced the bench staff for the upcoming season. Head Coach Julie Hatesohl combined with Assistant Coaches Katie Ehrlich and Brooke Penticost bring a wealth of not only hockey experience but also lifetime commitments to the education of Canadian youth.

The Bench Staff brings with it 20 years of Lady Ranger playing experience, 13 years of local Women’s High School Hockey, Women’s Colligate Hockey experience, and an appearance in the Ontario Winter Games. This is just what relates to playing competitively, as far as teaching hockey goes that would include another 5 plus years of Power Skating instruction with Twin City and year with Home Town Hockey youth development.

Coach Julie herself is no stranger to mentoring young women; she spent two years as Assistant Coach with the FHCI Trojan Women’s Hockey team and was Assistant with the Novice A Waterloo Ravens last year. Spending her days as a Teacher with the WCDSB Julie has also kept busy as an Assistant Coach with the FHCI Trojan Women’s Rugby team for the last two years and is currently coaching the Bantam Kitchener Klassics Softball team.

Further to this, members of this year’s Coaching Staff have spent countless volunteer hours aiding and mentoring disadvantaged youth and young women through various programs and camps whose aim it is to empower girls to lead healthy active lifestyles. Julie, Katie and Brooke are three shining examples of how the City of Kitchener and KMHA have been working to build confidence and responsibility through Women’s Sports in the community.

Positive Female Role Models are not always abundantly ‘visible’ in today’s Sporting World, but Kitchener is looking to change that. Who better than these ‘Ladies’ to help mentor our girls, as they turn into Women, on and off the ice?

Best of Luck to Coach Julie, and her Staff on a successful 2012-2013 campaign, three women from our system for our system.
