Lori, Tim and I would like to thank all the ladies and parents for an entertaining weekend of U.S. hockey.
The games were challenging not only from the level of play but also from the officiating stand point. We understood your frustrations and appreciated your “self control”. Remember to stay focused on the 2 things that you have control over - your attitude and your work ethic. Thanks to Cambridge, Chicago Mission (Semi-final O.T. Loss), Milwaukee and St. Louis for five great games of hockey.
As for our “45 – 30” math discussion, please remember that “Champions” are made when no one else is watching. They don't just put in the time and effort when they have to. They do MORE because they know that it's the hard work they put in on their own that puts them ahead of the competition. We need to work hard to complete the last “twelve minutes” of our game and we need every single one of you to contribute if we are to be successful. Last time I checked, hockey was still a team sport. Keep working hard ladies, you will be rewarded. It’s just over two months until the “real” season begins. Lets’ make the most of it!
