Congratulations to all ladies for an “exciting” Christmas Classic Tournament Silver Medal!
Amber, Bill, Lori, Tim and I would like to congratulate all the ladies for your hard work and efforts in the 32nd Annual Mississauga Chiefs Christmas Classic. You “drove the bus” and played four great games of hockey. Your continuing commitment to what we have worked on in practice was apparent in every game you played. We were especially proud of your efforts in the final. Having dominated the first twenty three and a half minutes of play, a “thirty second” lapse put you down by a goal. While you could have chosen to take the “poor me” attitude and given up on the game, you showed true heart and determination in battling back not once, but twice to force overtime. While there is nothing more exciting in hockey than a shootout, there can still only be one victor. Although gold was not in the cards this time, please don’t lose the games true “lesson”. Your efforts as a TEAM lead to your success this weekend. Your continued efforts, hard work and determination will serve you well come February. I hope you realize that collectively you can overcome any hurdle thrown your way. The sky is truly the limit ladies.
