Major Bantams Sweep Brantford and Move On to Hamilton
The Major Bantams swept the Brantford 99ers in the first round of the playoffs with scores of 1-0, 3-1 and 1-0. The Rangers impressive defensive zone coverage was lead by both goaltenders Morgan Heinbuch and Jonathan Heise. The tandem combined for one goal against in the series with Heise having back to back shootouts. Nathan Rowe also notched two goals in the series leading the attack for the Rangers.
The Major Bantams will now face the Hamilton Huskies who finished at the top of the East Division during the regular season. The Rangers look forward to the challenge and have tied the Huskies twice in their last two regular season meetings with scores of 1-1 and 3-3. The team will again look towards strong defensive and neutral zone play while being discipline in their systems. The two teams will clash on Friday as the series opens up at Chedoke Arena @7pm in Hamilton.
