Lady Rangers Take The Gold!!!
The Atom B team left Kitchener for an adventure in Hockey and maybe a little Black Friday shopping and what they found was team work, teammates, and success. After a long drive the girls arrived at the hotel and were called together for a quick team meeting with the coaches...

At this meeting the girls discussed their expectations and some rules for the weekend but it also served to bring them together to plan their mayhem. Time in the pool? Bracelets? Necklaces? or even better team mini-sticks. The girls pulled together and enjoyed each others company bonding like only a team can. The girls headed out onto the ice to play their first game in Pittsburgh and face the North York Storm. The official broadcasters for the game relayed a tight affair with the Storm coming out on top 2-1. All of the Lady Rangers played well and left the North York team hoping they wouldn't have to play the Rangers again.

Game 2: saw Kitchener in deep against their divisional rivals the West Huron Wave. After a big win in their last league game the Rangers came up short losing 6-1 to West Huron, but lighting a fire in the girls that would not be extinguished for the rest of the tournament.

Game 3: The Lady Ranger played the home town Steel City Selects and came away with the W! A deal was struck between the girls to play their best and at the end of the game high fives and "we did its" resounded through the locker room. But this set up a rematch, and the girls were ready.

Semi final:  After their game 3 win our young ladies were back at it against the West Huron Wave "Again!" and losing was not an option. Fighting in the corners and burying the puck the Lady rangers played a hard fought game and came out with the victory 3 - 2 over their rivals. This win sends Kitchener to the Finals on Sunday.

Finals:  The game starts with adversity before the girls even take the ice. Shuffled off to a meeting room due to scheduling issues the girls were not assigned a dressing room. This didn't matter it was whiteboard material for the coaches. Marching in their skate guards down stairs and across the entire arena the Lady Ranger resolve built. They were not to be denied.   The girls took to the ice and played strong building a formidable 3 goal lead. Letting their foot off the pedal the Steel City Selects pushed back making the game close 3-2 but would not be able to capitalise with the Rangers inking the win and going down in history as the 2013 Pittsburgh Girls Thanksgiving Classic CHAMPIONS!!

Well done girls you played exceptional!!
