20th Fallfest Kitchener Tournament
Friday morning game 1 vs the Leaside Wildcats, had our Lady Rangers come out shooting 38 shots on net providing a 2-0 win. The extra 100 daily practice shots requested from each player has already provided rewards !  Our afternoon game 2 against the Durham West Lightning had the score sheet filled with #55, #6 and #66 showcasing our new tournament forward line giving us a 2-0 win.

Our Saturday morning game 3 had the Lady Rangers lose 1-2 in a penalty filled game against the Clarington Flames scoring in the last 28 seconds for the win. Our afternoon, must win game 4 was a come from behind 2-1 win against the Belleville Bearcats securing a spot in the championship. Saturday night video game review, pizza and a movie provided relaxation in preparation for our championship game Sunday. Chalkboard summary, by Ashley "Lady Rangers working 110% = GOLD" !

Championship Sunday was a return game against the Clarington Flames with everyone sitting on the edge of their seats in our "Big House" at the Aud. A scoreless first and second period had Ashley score in the third only to have Clarington pull the goalie to tie the game with 15 seconds left. Overtime had a game saving goal line sweep by Hailey and a disallowed goal by Emma adding to the drama as our bench had everyone standing. Exciting 3 on 3 hockey provide the extra ice we needed to have Lane deke 3 players scoring with 46 seconds left to win the GOLD !

Honorable mention to our Captain Lindsay for leading the way in tournament scoring and to our game MVP's....Taylor O'Kane, Stephanie Agnew, Taylor Sol, Hailey Friesen and Kiera Witten. Congratulations to the entire team, coaches and trainers !

A special thanks to KMHA for hosting such a well run 20th Annual Fallfest tournament. We are all proud of our Lady Rangers who gave their 110% in winning the championship banner which will be hung in our home rink at McLaren arena.

Good job team, practice Monday, Wednesday and back to league play....Go Lady Rangers !
