Win Streak Over at Seven
KJR Atom Selects entered their game with the Cambridge Select Hornets on a seven-game win streak but an hour later, that streak snapped with a 5-2 home loss at Grand River Arena.
The game started out very promising as KJR dominated the first period with one chance after another but couldn't beat the solid Hornet goalie. Cambridge struck first then KJR quickly answered. After that, it was all downhill from there. Maybe the kids were tired from Brantford or were too confident after shutting out the Hornets last time...whatever the reason, the last two periods were not the Rangers we know. Cambridge deserved the win and KJR must now learn from their mistakes.
The Rangers can redeem themselves in Hamilton next weekend as they participate in the Dofasco Steelhawk Tournament. Go Rangers Go!
