Congratulations to all members of Team Atomic Sky! The boys really turned in a fantastic effort to really come together at the right time and play their strongest hockey of the year. Facing a determined Green team, all the players committed to a Defence-first approach the paid huge dividends in the final.

The tournament started well with a nail-biting 1-1 tie with Atomc Black on Thursday. Game 2 saw the boys in Sky Blue take on the Orange Fireballs with a 3-0 win. Later on Saturday, Sky face off for the first of what would be two matchups against Green. In the final pool game Green prevailed 3-2 with an outstanding performance from the Green forwards.
Sunday saw the lads face off in an all blue Semi-final between Sky and Blue. Despite falling behind early, the team rallied to win the Semi 2-1. In the Final, Atomic Sky played five-man defence-first with all the forwards and defence selflessly committed to the cause. In the end, Sky prevailed and managed to shut out Green 3-0.
The next stop for Atomc Sky is the Record Cup on Wednesday, followed by the Alliance Championship on the weekend. GO SKY GO!
