Jr. Rangers Eliminate Wolves in 6 to advance to the Alliance Finals
​The Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AA Hockey Club faced off against the Waterloo Wolves in the first to 6 point series.  The series went the distance with the Rangers prevailing sending them to the Alliance Championship Finals.

It was a hard fought back and forth series that went the distance to game 6.  The Rangers took game 1 at home by a score of 3-2 with goals from Luke Kozak, Eric Schiebel and Ryan Stahley.  Game 2 went in Waterloo, it was another tight checking affair and both teams skated to a 1-1 draw.  Morgan Heinbuch made 21 saves for the Rangers with the lone Ranger tally going to Noah Gedja.  In game 3 the Wolves came out strong and scored 2 first period goals, the Rangers responded with a powerplay goal by Sahrung Sehra, but it wasn't enough and the Wolves took game 3, notting the series at 3 points aside.  The Wolves rode the momentum and took game 4 3-1 as well,  Zach Ribeiro scored the Rangers goal in the contest.  The Rangers back home for game 5 at the Aud and trailing the Wolves 5-3 in points looked to force a game 6.  Wesley Forwell starting things for the Rangers midway in the 2nd frame.  Zach Ribeiro added a powerplay goal in the 3rd giving the Rangers a 2-0 lead.  Justin Osolnik made 23 saves in the 2-0 shutout win.  With the series tied with 5 points aside game 6 would decide who would move on to the Alliance Championship Finals.  The Rangers came out strong and Matthew Gudzak was rewarded with a timely bounce on the powerplay giving the Rangers the lead.  Zach Ribeiro added another late in the first giving the Rangers a 2-0 lead.  The Rangers continued to press and Wesley Forwell put home a great pass from Noah Gedja giving the Rangers the insurance 3rd goal.  The Wolves tried but could not solve Justin Osolnik who posted his 2nd shutout in as many nights.  With the 3-0 final score the Rangers won the series 7 points to 5 sending them into their 2nd consecutive Alliance Championship Finals.
