Champs in Ottawa!
MD Red rolled into the nation's capital late Thursday night.   Team building started early when families stopped to help one of their own stranded on HWY 7. The Rangers then woke Friday and put in two solid games. First, they wheeled off an impressive 3-0 win against the Brampton 45s A team. The boys followed it up with another shutout win beating Quinte West 9-0.

After a tasty team dinner and unbelievable dance competition, the boys were ready for team curfew.  Saturday the whole team travelled downtown on a bus to the Children's Museum, followed by lunch at the Pour House. The boys then carbed up with desert at Beaver Tails. Next up was Applewood Coyotes. The Rangers came out a little tired (was it the Beaver Tails?), but wrestled out a 2-0 win.  The boys then hustled back to the hotel to get some sleep before the Semi-final on Sunday. The Rangers drew the Newmarket Redmen A team and squeaked out an exciting 2-1 win thanks to some great goaltending. The boys then got ready to meet the Halton Hills Thunder in the finals.  Once again, goaltending was a factor with a number of great saves at either end.   The Rangers dug deep though, and finished off the game scoring a late goal to take the Championship game 3-1.

Congrats Rangers!  Great team effort from great teammates!
