Alliance East Champions!
After a hard fought semis win over Waterloo, Minor Peewee MD Blue punched their ticket into the Alliance Championships, sweeping the feisty Burlington Bulldogs and claiming the East Division Title.

The East Final opened up last Thursday night at the Aud vs a Burlington team that just upset the #1 Brantford Saints.  The Bulldogs struck first but two quick goals by the Rangers put them up 2-1 after one.  The Rangers went up 3-1 early in the second, but the Bulldogs fired back with a 3rd period marker and the Rangers survived a late-period flurry to take Game One, 3-2.

Game 2 on Saturday night was in the Shoebox (Nelson) in Burlington.  The Rangers scored early and often, leading 3-0 after the first period.  The teams traded goals in the 2nd, leaving KJR a three-goal lead heading into the final frame.  Seriously undisciplined play at times (9 minor penalties) by the Rangers brought this game closer than it should but KJR prevailed 5-3 and earning a trip to St. Catharines in two weeks.

Kitchener opens up on April 10th with two games against both West Division entries while Saturday the 11th has the final round robin game vs the host Hurricanes.

The Rangers have a few practices and an exhibition game lined up over the next couple weeks to prepare for the Alliance Provincials.  Go Rangers Go!
