LLFHL Round One vs. the North York Storm
The first round of the 2014 -2015 LLFHL playoffs are complete and what a round it was!

After 22 regular season games, the Kitchener Lady Rangers opened the first round of the Central Division playoffs against the North York Storm. The ladies opening game began on a quick start with a goal by Ms. McCrory on the opening shift, which would prove to be the eventual game winner.

A week later in North York, with the Storm facing elimination, a lack luster start by the Lady Rangers afforded the Storm with a well-deserved tie forcing a third and deciding game back in Kitchener.

A day later, the stage was set for a one game winner take all at the Activa Spotrtsplex. After a scoreless first, the ladies finally beat the Storm’s strong goaltending to take a 1 – 0 lead into the break. A hard fought third saw the Storm with several good chances to tie the game. However, some key saves by Ms. Komorowski, as well as several well executed breakout passes, had Ms. Krasinski sealing the deal with her second and third of the game. Thanks to all the Storm ladies for a great first round. Your progression throughout the twenty two regular season games was certainly noted.

On behalf of Bill, Katie, Sarah and Tim, congratulations on your first round win. As exciting as is was, please understand a more determined effort will be required to beat the Canadettes.

Welcome to round two!
