LLFHL Round Three vs. the Dolphins
The Kitchener Lady Rangers players and staff wish to
congratulate the Etobicoke Dolphins on their Central Division Playoff Championship
win!
After two “three game series” with the North York Storm and the Brampton Canadettes, the Kitchener Lady Rangers Bantam A team opened up the final round of the LLFHL Playoffs against the Etobicoke Dolphins. After taking a 1 – 0 series lead, “March Madness” set in for the ladies who began game two with “9" skaters on the roster with the “10th” literally arriving directly from Florida! Although a great effort was afforded by all, the ladies came out on the losing end forcing a game three, “winner take all”, back at the Activa Sports Complex.
As we have all read before, “it was the best of times, it was the worst of times”. The ladies drove the bus for the first twelve minutes of play taking a 1 – 0 lead and ​had several good scoring opportunities. It was about that time that “jet lag”, “driving lag” and several other of the “lag” family members showed up. The Dolphins pressured hard, forced the play and earned a well-deserved 2 – 1 win.
Bill, Katie, Sarah, Tim and I are proud of all your efforts this season. It is that continued work ethic, drive and execution of our systems of play that will be needed to continue your success in Provincials. Congratulations to all on a great playoff run.
