Black and Blue Tie!
In a battle of the two undefeated teams in the Queensmount division, Atomc Black tied Blue 2-2.
It was a character game by Atomc Black. After falling behind 2-0 Owen Chard converted to cut the Blue lead in half. The goal came on a power play which showcased some amazing puck movement. Brett Herniman, Braydon Houlihan, Chard, Kodi Blackshaw and Dezi Deneau passed the puck all around the zone with each having a nice touch on the puck. Blackshaw and Houlihan drew the assists.
Blackshaw capped off his tremendous game with the equalizer with only 1:40 remaining to play. Nolan Lusk and Jacob Ancich had assists on the goal.
The tie allowed the Black team to remain undefeated over 3 tournaments. To date the team has won the Jason Cripps Christmas Tournament and Jayden Elmour Memorial Tournament. It will be a tough road ahead tomorrow as Black now will face Atomc Sky in a do or die match up in the semi finals at 9am.
