Pirates Weather the Hurricanes
Two undefeated titans clashed at Kiwanis on Saturday, November 14th with only one of them holding onto their crown when the dust had settled. In true Pirate fashion, a new hero emerged in a timely manner to steady the ship and steer the boys into port.

At the final buzzer the Pirates had extended their winning streak and managed to weather out the Hurricane.

Scoring got underway early in the match when Brandon spotted Eli speeding up the ice and fed a perfect pass to him just as he crossed the blue line. Eli stepped across the blue line and sniped a wrister into the Hurricane net from just outside the hash marks. The score remained 1-0 heading into the second period.

The Hurricanes were not about to take this lying down and managed to briefly tie the score in the second after a long shift had caught the Pirates on a line change. Not to be out-done, the Eli to Brandon combo struck again midway through the second frame when Brandon put the finish on a rebound off one of Eli's shots.

Early in the third period, the dynamic duo struck a third time as Brandon made sure another Eli rebound was going in as it rolled through the blue ice. The Pirates final strike came as Jackson completed on another play in close.

The Pirates used their short-shift strategy to perfection in the latter half of the third period as they continued to roll out fresh legs to preserve the win and launch themselves into sole possession of first place in the HL Peewee division.

Final score... Pirates 4 - Hurricane 1.
