Jr. Rangers Spread Christmas Joy!
The beginning of December saw your Jr.Rangers post victories over Hamilton (7-0) and Huron Perth (4-2).  On the Sunday following the games, the team spent the day together in New Hamburg for some fun team bonding activities, and Christmas cheer.

Having spent the previous week compiling positive comments about their teammates, the players gathered together with the opportunity to share the 'good news' with one another.  Working in small groups, the players recorded their thoughts about one another on special sheets which each teammate receive and were able to bring home and display.  There is nothing more meaningful than positive affirmations from one's peers and the kids' faces showed it as they read through their comment sheets.  Next up, the players prepared for their upcoming player-coach meetings by reflecting on their hockey goals for the year and discussing how the coaches can help them meet these achievements. Encouraging and supporting players to develop confident communication skills was an important part of this hour.  Following these team building events, the players shared a hearty team meal before venturing out with their Rangers jerseys and santa hats to participate in the New Hamburg Santa Claus parade. Collecting canned goods for the food bank and passing out information flyers for local outreach programs- while belting out Christmas carols- the Jr.Rangers proudly and merrily represented the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association.
