Gene Harrington Classic Tournament
What a great weekend in Niagara Falls, NY...
The Minor Atom A Jr. Rangers travelled to Niagara Falls, NY this past weekend to play in the Gene Harrington Classic Tournament...and a great time was had by all!
With our Peterborough "away" tournament already cancelled earlier on in the season...we received the disappointing news that our division was cancelled in this tournament as well.
However, rather than miss out on another tournament, the opportunity was presented for us to play in the Major Atom division, a full year up, and without hesitation, the challenge was accepted.
Playing against larger, more experienced teams from New Jersey, Buffalo, and Whitby along the way, the Jr. Rangers more than held their own...and the compete level shown was higher than it has been at any point this year.
There are so many positives that can be taken from this experience and we are so proud of these fine young boys for never giving up...and for staying "classy"!
Thanks for the amazing effort Jr. Rangers...and thanks to the parents too for your incredible enthusiasm and support. (and for the team party!!!)
Way to go boys! Let's keep the momentum going and get right back at it this week...Oh, and one last thing to say....Let's hear it..... "DOWNTOWN!!!!" :)
