KJR Red Wins London Tournament with Perfect Record (6-0-0)
KJR Atom MD Red rolled into London for the 25th Annual West London Byron Optimist Competitive Tournament. It was a great chance for the team to compete against some teams from the West Alliance. The team got off to a great start winning all 4 round-robin games without allowing a single goal. The team extended their winning and shutout streak, beating North London Nationals 6-0 in the semi-final match.
In the finals, KJR Red would face the home team - the West London Hawks. West London had finished first in the West Alliance regular season, so the team knew it would take another strong effort to win the final game. KJR Red came out strong from the drop of the first puck. The boys continued to battle hard right to the buzzer on route to a 5-2 championship win!
