As we have had our final practice ice of the
season, Bill, Ken, Sarah, Tim and I wanted to say a “final thanks”
to everyone for our 2015/2016 season.
We appreciated all the ladies efforts and hard work throughout the season and have told them tonight how much we enjoyed being a part of their last seven months. You all have a great bunch of daughters and we feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to coach them this season.
We would also like to thank Angela and Karen for all their dressing room, pre-game and bench time with the ladies. We could not have had the season we did without both of you. This certainly extends to Ken as well. From the hotels, lunches, dinners and team bonding activities, we all sincerely appreciated the time you put in to make this a great "team" experience for all.
Was this a perfect season of hockey – not at all. Were there challenges – yes there were. Did we always agree – absolutely not, and that’s what makes each season unique for players, parents and coaching staff alike. We hope that you did see the growth and development in your daughters, individually and as part of a team, which we did. We hope they will all continue to make good “Choices and Options” in the many seasons and years to come. We believe that the ability to do so is an important quality and hope it stays with all the ladies for the rest of their lives. As we all know, there’s going to be a life after hockey that’s a lot longer than their hockey life :)
We are sincerely proud of all your efforts and accomplishments this season. It has been a real pleasure.
