Hearts of Lions
Hearts of Lions were not enough to push our Lady Rangers past the Woodstock Wildcats.

After a battle royal that exhausted fans, players and coaching staff alike, the Lady Rangers walked away from game one vs Woodstock with a hard fought 1-0 victory. The lone goal came from Emma Dawson with assist from Evie Perry but, the star of the show was Kiera Witten. She STOLE the game from Woodstock quite literally stopping EVERYTHING that came her way and putting up with a lot of rough traffic in the crease. Buoyed by the victory over the 3rd place team the girls showed up on Saturday at Sportsworld hungry to finish it off. But, Woodstock would not go down without a fight and a lone goal from Isabelle Schroder (unassisted) would not be enough against the surging Wildcats. Sam Taylor had a great game in net but we just couldn't keep them out and Woodstock came out on top with a 2-1 win. Back to Woodstock we go on Superbowl Sunday to the same rink that held our victory on Thursday night. It wasn't meant to be and after a VERY tough 3 game series, the Lady Rangers lost 2-0 in game 3. I am very proud of the girls for their persistence and their drive in this series. They (mostly) kept their cool, took their punches but fought very hard. They should hold their heads high and know that they are more than ready for our Playdown series which start this coming Tuesday. This is far from over!
