London "B" Tourney Champs
The Minor Bantam HL Rock travelled to London to participate in the annual Neil Barker Memorial House League Tournament.  After 5 games in 48 hours, the Rock added a 2nd gold to their medal collection after a narrow, hard-fought victory over Waterloo.

The Rock opened up the tourney Friday morning with a disappointing 3-3 tie vs Erindale (Mississauga).  They played much better Friday afternoon with a convincing win over Oakville.

On Saturday, a win vs the hometown Nationals would have clinched a birth in the "A" pool but came up short, losing 2-0 to a very solid North London team.  The Rock, by virtue of their 2nd place pool finish, qualified for the "B" playoffs, drawing Meadowvale (Mississauga), the highest ranked team on the "B" side.  A late third period goal sent the Rock through to the final on Sunday afternoon.

They dominated Waterloo throughout the final but just couldn't grow their early 2-0 lead and had to kill a couple late penalties to preserve the 2-1 win.

Hard work definitely paid off.  Great job to all the boys and congrats to the bench staff.
