Rangers Suffer Frustrating Loss
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red team had two questionable goals against right as the buzzer sounded in the second and third periods against the West London Hawks to lose 4 to 2.

With the Rangers, down two goals in the second period Carter Niall cut the lead in half from Denver Heiman. The goals brought some life back into the Rangers but that was short lived. Right at the end of the period the Hawks scored what appeared to be a goal after the buzzer. However, after some discussion the referees decided the goal was fair. The Rangers picked up their play and were becoming dominate and Justin Hay scored a highlight reel goal when he broke in from Keenan Hack and put a beauty back handed top shelf.

Sadly, the Rangers were still down that goal and with the goalie pulled for the extra attacker the Hawk once again scored a goal when it appeared time was over but the goal was rewarded and was pretty much irrelevant due to the outcome securing the Rangers to have to play in the semifinal game.

Hayden Smith put in a great game for the Rangers. He was sharp on several plays and made sure the Hawks had little to no rebounds.

Congratulations Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red on advancing to the Alliance Championships semifinal game against the Waterloo Wolves Black.

The coaches are proud of your character and determination in this tournament as you represent Kitchener with class!

Go Rangers.
