On behalf of Bill, Dave, Sarah, Tim and I wanted
to say a “final thanks” to everyone for our 2016/2017 season.
With provincial weekend behind us, I wanted to take a few minutes to say a "Final Thanks" to everyone for our 2016/2017 season.
We appreciated all the ladies efforts and hard work throughout the season and have told everyone how much we enjoyed being a part of their last seven months. You have a great bunch of daughters and we feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to coach them this season.
We would also like to thank Angela and Sarah for all their dressing room, pre-game and bench time with the ladies. It seemed that there was rarely a week that went by that your services were not needed! We certainly could not have had the season we did without both of you. This extends to Dan as well. From the hotels bookings, stat tracking, to all the LLFHL and OWHA requirements, we all sincerely appreciated the time you put in behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly throughout the season.
Was this a perfect season of hockey – not at all. Were there challenges – yes there were. Did we always agree – absolutely not, and that’s what makes each season unique for players, parents and coaching staff. While we wished the level of play would have been a little more consistent, playing with a full roster was simply not in the cards this season! We understand and appreciate the difficulty in trying to get some of the “chemistry” and “flow” going but hope that you did see the growth and development in your daughters, individually and as part of a team, which we did. We hope they will all continue to make good “Choices and Options” in the seasons and years to come. We believe that the ability to do so is an important quality and hope it stays with all the ladies for the rest of their lives. As we all know, there’s going to be a life after hockey that’s a lot longer than their hockey life.
We are sincerely proud of all your efforts and accomplishments this season. It has been a real pleasure.
