Player of the Game
Good game to finish off the first half of the year, never great when you lose but it was good. Ella has been a steady centre all year, appearing to be tireless and always eager to go. She continued her stellar play this week to earn the belt.
Ella has had exceptional positioning all year, playing deep in the defensive zone to help out the D, to digging in the corners in the offensive zone and always skating hard to back check. It is a joy to watch Ella and look forward to seeing her continue to grow as one of the leaders of our team. (Grow=louder)
We played the Second place team in the league and definitely held our own. If we didn't score the first goal on our own net and could have taken care of a couple of rebounds it could have been a different result. I think if we played high level teams more often our ladies understanding of the importance of team play would be accelerated. I am very proud of our ladies for being in the B division going into the second half of the season.
