Player of the Game
4 players missing, no problem, sort of.
3 players sick, 1 player busy and we still come out with a 2-2 tie against the current 1 place pool B team. So proud of the effort from our girls today. Our first short handed goal of the year, great pass for our second goal and great defence and some great glove hand saves.
Brooklyn has been one of our three centres all year but today she played defence for us. We asked our girls go hard to the offensive net and protect Molly from girls hacking at her and getting garbage goals. We saw all of the defence protect the crease, especially Brooklyn knocking the other teams sticks away from Molly at least two times, earning her the belt this week. Brooklyn is a treat to have around, almost always cheery, ready to play and doesn't get too upset when the coaches are joking with her. I see Brooklyn as one of the team leaders by how she plays and with her positive attitude.
