Mighty Ducks Strike GOLD!!!
This past weekend the Mighty Ducks played in their first tournament of the season in the Bradford Blue & Gold.
The team opened up on Friday playing a strong 2 games against Thornhill and Ted Reeves to take day one with a 2-0 start. On Saturday the Ducks had a chance to punch their ticket to the finals on Sunday, but first they had a tough opponent with Aurora. The Ducks were tested in all areas during the game and came out with a hard fought tie which was enough to clinch top spot in the division and a berth in the finals. On Sunday the Ducks had a rematch against a tougher Ted Reeves team. This game was a nail biter right til the end, but the Ducks were able to get a 3rd period goal and hold on for the win and their first championship.
The coaching staff would like to congratulate all the players on all their hard work this past weekend. We would also like to thank all the family and friends who came out to support the Ducks during the games, and for making this past weekend a memorable one.
