Transition and Looking Ahead to 2018
Congratulations to the COBRAS for working hard, making good choices, capitalizing on several good opportunities and showing their ‘other side’ in the Jason Cripps tourney.

Although off to a slow start at the beginning of the season, the COBRAS have finally managed to find their potential working as a team and executing successful plays - all because of improved performance, determination and CONFIDENCE.

I would like to highlight:

The COBRAS kicked off Game 1 of the tourney against the Rock with an impressive mind blowing first goal in the first 2 mins of the game, followed by another goal before the period end - closing with a loss of only 1 goal difference, at 3-2.

Game 2 against the Wildcats (whom are in a first place team standing) proved the boys were not messing around, after a refocus 1 minute break after the first. The second period began with a 3-0 Wildcats but the COBRAS came back strong and managed to sink 2 beautiful goals, ending the best game of the season with again, a loss of only a 1 goal difference.  Constant hard work, fore checking, aggression and beautiful passes were the reasons for such an exciting game.

The COBRAS had a slow start in Game 3 against the Rock this morning, trickling into the third period with a 2-0 Rocks. The boys however managed to find their drive and regain their focus to score 2 goals to tie up the game. Persistence, determination and hard work were the reasons for the success. What a comeback.

Game 4 against the Wildcats knocked everyone off their seats with a  COBRA sinker in the first 15 seconds of the first period.  Determination and drive through the entire game awarded the boys with a second tie of 3-3.

These are all of the accomplishments the boys should be proud of - considering where we came from. If you’re counting, that’s a NEW 2 game undefeated streak. We’ll take it.  This is where we want to be leading up to the London tournament next weekend. It’s evident that the boys are learning what works and what doesn’t, and how EFFORT leads to success.

The COBRAS decide their fate. And I believe the players realize that this is the transition period, from loss to win.  Finally. Time for change, boys. Let’s make it happen NOW.

On behalf of Al, Roy, Dan and Matt, we wish all of our players and parents all the best, for 2018.
