KJR Cole MacKay Signs OHL Contract
Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA program are pleased to announce that Cole MacKay signed today with the OHL Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

Cole had a strong year playing for the Jr. Rangers Minor Midget 01 group leading the Alliance in goals during the regular season.   During regular season play Cole had 30 goals in 32 games played.   He finished the season including playoffs and tournaments with 45 goals and 71 points in 66 games played leading the team to the OHL Cup.   This was good enough for his hometown team, the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, to select Cole in the 5th round, 98th overall in the 2017 OHL Priority Draft.  Cole was also a member of Team North in the OHL Gold Cup tournament taking place in May.

With a strong showing at the Greyhound camp which included a goal and an assist in the Greyhounds Red and White game Cole was among the 24 players remaining at camp as the Greyhounds start their exhibition schedule.  Cole will be playing his first OHL game tonight against Saginaw.

Congratulations Cole!!
