Stratford Warrior Early Bird Tournament Champions!
What an incredible way to kick off our season...with a championship winning performance at the 2017 Stratford Warrior Early Bird Tournament.
On the weekend of September 29-October 1, the Minor Peewee Seeded Jr. Rangers kicked off their tournament season at the 2017 Stratford Warrior Early Bird Tournament.
Starting on Friday morning with a game against the Knights from Ajax, the boys came out flying and earned a very convincing victory.
Game 2 saw the Jr. Rangers face off against their league rivals from Sarnia, and came away with a hard fought, 2-0 shut-out win.
Game 3 saw the boys play another one of their league rivals, the home-town Stratford Warriors, and came out on top after playing one of their most complete games of the season thus far.
A semi-final victory in a re-match against the Ajax Knights team saw the Jr. Rangers meet up with the Stratford Warriors...for the tournament championship.
A huge effort was put forth by the entire team, in a back and forth exciting game, with the mighty Jr. Rangers earning a well-deserved 4-3 win...and taking home the championship!
Over the course of the 5 games played, the boys had 5 wins, 0 losses, and outscored their opponents 22-6.
Way to go boys!!
It was great to see all of that hard work in practice and off the ice pay off.
