Sport Chek - World Junior Outdoor CAN VS USA Game

December 29th - Sport Chek (through Hockey Canada) surprised the Kitchener Jr Rangers Bantam AA hockey team with an amazing, once in a lifetime - World Junior Championship experience - to see Team Canada play the USA in a unique outdoor game at New Era Field (home of the NFL's Buffalo Bills).
Leading up to the trip, Sport Chek worked closely with coaches and parents on paperwork for the border, while ensuring that this was all kept secret from the team.
On the morning of the unveiling - parents suggested that they stop in at Sport Chek - Fairway Best Mall to buy some "much needed winter gloves." Once inside the store, the boys were curious as to why their teammates were also shopping for new winter gloves.
Soon after, the Sport Chek reps entered and made the big announcement:
1. The players were each getting a brand new Team Canada jersey and a $50 gift card!
2. The team will be hopping on a Great Canadian Tour bus and going to the game!!
What an awesome gift & adventure this was. Being among those 44,592 passionate fans (as a team) - made this a day that will always be remembered...
