Great Game in London
The Oakridge Arena in London was the stage for a great hockey game between two great teams. We came out a little flat-footed and Oakridge scored midway through the first to take an early 1-0 lead. The coaching staff gave the boys a peep talk between periods which produced immediate results! Three goals in the second period gave us a comfortable lead heading into the third. Two additional goals in the third period built our lead to 5-1 before giving up a goal late in the game. The boys worked hard, moved the puck well and capitalized on scoring opportunities. Ollie provided solid goal-tending throughout the game. The final score was 5-2 for Kitchener with 23 shots for and 21 against. Congratulations to Marcus D'Aguilar for being selected as team MVP!
