KJR Blue turn on the jets on Day 2 in Ottawa!
KJR Blue continued shine on Day 2 of the Mid-season Showdown. With two games on Saturday, including a game against the first place Port Credit Storm "A" team, KJR Blue knew they needed to give a full team effort.
In Game 1 Saturday, KJR Blue and Port Credit traded chances for 2 periods in game that had great tempo. Unfortunately the team gave up a PP goal to the Storm early in the third. To Blue's credit they played feverishly until the end of the game trying to get the equalizer. Great job boys!
Next up was Innisfil Winterhawks in the afternoon tilt. The coaches were delighted to see Blue continue their play from the morning games. After a few shifts , KJR Blue kicked it back into gear and earned a well deserved 6-0 win.
With mostly "A" calibre teams registered, the players and coaches are excited to get a chance to continue to compete and develop on Sunday.
