Rangers Keep Rolling in Playoffs
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red team remained undefeated with a 3 to 0 win over the rival Kitchener Jr Rangers Blue team Friday night.

Aiden Radatus had recorded his 19th win and 9th shutout of the season in the win and although not tested often he stood his ground when needed and made the saves he needed.

The win was a complete team effort with some impressive D-zone play by the Rangers. The Red coaches have preached a strong team defense and were happy with the effort the boys put into their play in their end.

Keenan Hack continued his surge of strong play and was a beast for the Rangers. In fact, all the defenders were exceptional. Kailum Belanic was an impressive plus three in the game and Noah Park, Logan Hock, Yianni Peppas and Hack were all pluses as well.

Jacob Reid-Brant opened the scoring with a terrific back hander that fooled the goalie. Ayden Costello had the assist on the goal. Daniel Gubbels had the second goal and was set up from Ethan Lafleur and Jacob Fisher. Carter Niall celebrated his 30th goal on the season with the final goal and Costello drew an assist on that goal as well.

Often games are won and lost by the little battles on the ice and that was definitely the case in this game. Ryan McConnell won all his battles in the Rangers zone. Nicholas Zammit worked just as hard and the support from Connor Coughlin allowed the defense to move the puck out with ease.

The Rangers have the rest of the long weekend off and it is much deserved. The team held a practice before the game and rose to the challenge in the game.

Way to go Rangers!
