Saturday Night with Stratford
For the second Saturday in a row the Kitchener Lady Rangers welcomed the Stratford Acres to the Sportsworld arena.

Challenging the ladies to start strong, the Lady Rangers opened the game with two first period goals. A lackluster second with far too much puck watching had the game shots tied at “13” heading into the break.  Some third period re-focus had the ladies capitalizing on a beautiful two on one to seal the “W” in the third.

The game was significant for several reasons. Firstly, applying what we practiced paid dividends on all three goals. Hard, low point shots (on the net!!!), good tips and moving the puck east west, factored on all three goals. Being able to adjust to the play (think PK) limited the opportunity afforded to the Aces. Secondly, the “W” secured you at least 8th in the division for LLFHL playoffs. While congratulations on qualifying for playoffs could be in order, this is NOT what the season is about. There is much work that continues to be done. Making the right “choices and options” every shift, preaching what we practice and continued hard work both on AND off the ice will be keys to your seasons success.

Remember that only in the dictionary does “success” come before “work”
