Final Thanks!
On behalf of Bill, Dave, Sarah and Tim, I wanted to say a final thanks to everyone for our 2017 – 2018 season.

This was one of the best “team” seasons that we have had and was directly attributed to your daughter’s. The room was polite and respectful; the ladies played hard and supported each other as a team through several significant injuries; their sense of humor left us with some true belly laughs and smiles, all while being a truly skilled and talented group. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed being a part of their last seven months. You have a great bunch of daughters and we feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to coach them this season.

We would also like to thank Sarah and Melissa for all their dressing room, pre-game and bench time with the ladies. It seemed that there was rarely a week that went by that your services were not needed! We certainly could not have had the season we did without both of you. This extends to Reagan as well for her scheduling efforts and dealings with the OWHA. It is not as simple as it seems and we all sincerely appreciated the time you put in behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly throughout the season. And a special thanks also to Dee and Lari. The quick arrival of the team meals and the gamely stats were appreciated by all.

Was this a perfect season of hockey – not at all. Were there challenges – yes there were. Did we always agree – absolutely not; and that’s what makes each season unique for the players, parents and coaching staff. Keep the “good” with you and leave the “bad” behind in the trash where it belongs. Success and personal growth requires both but sometimes we hold onto the “bad” for far longer than we should.

While we wish we could have taken this amazing group to Provincials, it was simply not in the cards. We do hope that you saw the growth and development of you daughters, as we did, both individually and as a team. We hope they will all continue to make good “Choices and Options” in the seasons and years to come. The ability to do so is an important quality that we hope stays with the ladies for the rest of their lives. As we all know, there’s going to be a life AFTER HOCKEY that was a lot longer than their HOCKEY LIFE.

We are sincerely proud of all the ladies efforts and accomplishments this season. It has been a real pleasure!
