KJR Minor Midget AAA - Titan Tournament
The Minor Midget AAA Jr. Rangers traveled to Toronto to play in the 11th Annual Toronto Titan Tournament which takes place the first week of September.

With close to 60 teams from across Ontario and the USA in the tournament and only 16 teams advancing it was a good test for the team as they prepare for the start of their regular season.

Game 1
KJR v Oshawa  (2-1 KJR)
Shots:  KJR 42 Oshawa 6
Power Play:  KJR 1/4 Oshawa 0/2

Kitchener faced the Oshawa Jr. Generals their first game and came out flying.  The Jr. Rangers dominated the game from start to finish however struggled to find the back of the net.  Kitchener hit a number of goal posts and the Oshawa goalie made some key saves when necessary.   Despite the few shots against Dawson Rowe was solid between the pipes for Kitchener staying mentally focused and making key saves when necessary including a 3rd period breakaway save to maintain the lead.

Goals:
1) (PP) Reilly McMahon from Aidan Lazenby and Preston Smith
2) Matt Sop from Pat Brown

Game 2
KJR v Halton (3-0 KJR)
Shots: KJR 32 Halton 29
Power Play: KJR 2/2 Halton 0/5

In their next game Kitchener faced a fast top end OMHA team in the Halton Hurricanes.  Halton controlled the first few minutes of the game and had Kitchener on their heals however Kitchener slowly started to find their legs and took control.  Specialty teams were key where Kitchener's penalty killing units kept Halton off the board, including an extended 5v3 kill while the power play capitalized on both their power play opportunities.  Aidan Lazenby, Preston Smith, Reilly McMahon and Maddux Peppin were strong on penalty kill using their speed to cause havoc with Halton's power play.  Brandon Abbott earned the shut out with strong game in net.

Goals:
1) Reilly McMahon from Aidan Lazenby and Maddux Pepin
2) (PP) Luc Brzustowski from Jaegar Cull
3) (PP) Marko Sikic from Logan Crans

Game 3
KJR v Chicago Mission (6-1 Chicago)
Shots: KJR 22 Chicago 35
Power Play:  KJR 0/2 Chicago 1/2

Kitchener was quickly brought down to reality by a fast, tenacious and skilled Chicago Mission hockey club.  Chicago used their speed, quick transition and puck movement effectively to constantly keep the Jr. Rangers on their heals and dominated from start to finish.

Goals:
1) Marko Sikic from Logan Crans and Braeden Bowman

Game 4
KJR v Markham Majors (4-3 Kitchener)
Shots: KJR 35 Markham 15
Power Play:  KJR 1/3 Markham 0/2

Facing a must win situation in their final round robin game Kitchener came out and played an inconsistent game which is expected early in the season.  Doing many strong things and making some expected early season mistakes Kitchener allowed the pesky Markham team to hang around.  Despite the win and 3-1 record Kitchener didn't advance due to goals for an against differential.

Goals:
1) Matt Sop from Jaegar Cull
2) (SH) Reilly McMahon from Maddux Peppin
3) (PP) Logan Crans from Braeden Bowman and Marko Sikic
4) Marko Sikic from Braeden Bowman and Logan Crans
