Meet Your Minor Midget AAA Players - #4 Luc Brzustowski
When selecting a hockey club, the Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA team not only look at the player on the ice but also the player as a member of our community and a role model to other Jr. Rangers players within the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association system.

Each week we'll profile a member of the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA hockey club, so you'll get to know them a little more outside of their play on the ice.

This week we're proud to introduce #4 Luc Brzustowski.

Luc is an assistant captain and defenseman for the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA hockey club.

Luc was 4 when he learned to skate, started being a Jr. Ranger in Novice.  He’s the oldest and has one younger sister.  Pre and post skates, workouts and just “because” throughout the day Luc loves the smoothies prepared by his mom.   His go to meal is Chicken Curry.

Being calm on the ice as a top end defenseman is not the only place Luc thinks quick on his feet, Luc is strong academically and attends Cameron Heights as part of the IB program with teammate Dawson Rowe. The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a rigorous program based on international academic standards. The program encourages students to pursue their interests, develop skills for the future and inspire global citizenship.  This program will assist in preparing Luc for University as it encourages students to participate in a variety of extra curricular activities and community service that encourages learning through experiences.  English is Luc’s favourite subject at school and Science is his least favourite.

Like many of this year’s Minor Midget AAA players, Luc is a multi sport athlete.  Luc competed in the High School OFSAA Track and Field competition in the 800m this past spring where he competed against the top high school track athletes from across the province.  Luc set records at Cameron Heights in boys 800m and 1500m.  Along with track Luc also enjoys soccer, volleyball and skiing.

When sports and school aren’t keeping Luc busy he enjoys drawing.  Is there anything this young Jr. Ranger can’t do?  Defenseman, track athlete, strong student and an artist.  What else could he possibly be able to do?  Yes, there’s more, Luc’s hidden talent that not many know is that he is able to ride a unicycle.

Mission Impossible is listed as Luc’s favourite movie and within his music on his phone you’ll find Just Breathe by Pearl Jam and Heaven Is A Better Place Today by The Tragically Hip.

Luc is a tremendous multi sport student athlete while playing the highest level of hockey available for his age.  We’re very proud and fortunate to have you as a member of the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA program.
