Meet Your Minor Midget AAA Players #16 Jaegar Cull
When selecting a hockey club, the Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA team not only look at the player on the ice but also the player as a member of our community and a role model to other Jr. Rangers players within the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association system.

Each week we'll profile a member of the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA hockey club, so you'll get to know them a little more outside of their play on the ice.

This week we're proud to introduce #16 Jaegar Cull.

Jaegar is a right shot defenseman for the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA hockey club who’s favourite pre-game meal is Pasta and since he says his mom makes the best cookies, we are sure a couple of those are included in the pre-game meal.  Jaegar has been skating since the age of 2 and has been a Jr. Ranger for 8 years.

Like other members of this year’s team Jaegar attends Resurrection High school and is part of the PEAT (Phoenix Exceptional Athlete Training) program, offers an enrichment program for student- athletes who demonstrate exceptional athletic potential in a given sport. Applicants to the program must also possess strong academic commitment and be positive contributors to the Resurrection community.

An applicant to the PEAT program:

• Is self motivated and willing to do the extra physical and academic work needed to excel in sport and educational pursuits

• Is competing towards a provincial championship or higher, outside of school, individually or as a member of a team

• Has a sound academic record in both grades and learning skills

He ranks Math as his favourite subject and English not quite so high.  Jaeger is an only child, so he likes to say he’s the oldest and youngest in the family.  Also known as “the Hammer”, Jaegar doesn’t have a favourite song but he’s been known to sing along to his own version of the “Lion Sleeps Tonight” and his favourite movie is Captain America.

As a top end Lacrosse player Jaegar has travelled all over the province and US to participate in elite lacrosse tournaments.  When not at the rink Jags likes to relax with one of his many friends, play lacrosse, or show off his skills at the video game Call of Duty.   His favourite team is the Washington Capitals, lacrosse player Paul Rabil as his favourite athlete and his best friend is Carter Sullivan.

Words that Jaegar lives by are “nothing worth having comes easy” and we’re sure he put those words into action with his favourite memory which was winning the King of the Ring hockey tournament.

Another high level multi sport athlete on this year’s Kitchener Jr Rangers Minor Midget AAA hockey club Jaegar is a tremendous young man and teammate.  We’re very proud and fortunate to have Jaeger as such a role model and member of the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA program.
