Meet Your Minor Midget AAA Players - #66 Ben MacRobbie
When selecting a hockey club, the Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA team not only look at the player on the ice but also the player as a member of our community and a role model to other Jr. Rangers players within the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association system.

Each week we'll profile a member of the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA hockey club, so you'll get to know them a little more outside of their play on the ice.

This week we're proud to introduce #66 Ben MacRobbie.

Ben is a strong right shot forward for the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA hockey club.  Anyone who has watched Ben play immediately notice his hockey smarts and patience with the puck.  In low zone battles Ben is extremely heavy on his stick and strong in battles.  His hand eye coordination is uncanny, and he seems to get his stick on everything. His favourite pre-game meal is chicken, corn and potatoes.

Ben learned to skate at the age of 2 and this is his first year as a AAA Jr. Ranger.  He played for rival Huron Perth Lakers before moving to Kitchener this summer.  Ben has a younger brother and a younger sister.  He attends St. Mary’s high school and is in grade 11 as Ben skipped a grade in elementary school.  Math is his favourite subject while English is on the not favourite subject list.

The Ottawa Senators is Ben’s favourite NHL team and San Jose Sharks defenseman, Erik Karlson, is his favourite player.  His favourite movie is Step brothers and when not at the rink Ben likes to shoot pucks, watch Netflix and hang out with his friends doing activities.  His best and favourite video game is NHL19.  Ben is known as “slow pitch” to his teammates due to his summer passion of playing slow pitch.

Words that Ben lives by “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”.  Great words to live by Ben!! Attending the outdoor World Jr. hockey game between Canada and USA in Buffalo last year is Ben’s favourite hockey memory to date.  Hopefully we can add another positive memory this season.  Ben says Hannah is his best friend.

Ben is a tremendous young man who comes to the rink with a smile and a strong work ethic every day. We’re very proud and fortunate to have Ben as such a role model and member of the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA program.
